There are a few things to really understand before booking your session that are really important!
ONE:
Research.
The best way to find the best boudoir photographer for you is to ask your friends for recommendations.
Searching for a boudoir photographer is hard work, you don't want to choose just anyone, you want to make sure they check off this list:
- Do you love their personality?
- Do you love their message and their "why"?
- Do you love their work?
- Are they experienced?
- Do they offer quality heirloom products?
- Do they know what they are doing in terms of posing, directing, and planning?
- Will they help me with outfits, prepping, and walking me through the process?
TWO:
Know your options.
No photographer is created equal, some will have only one Experience options while others such as myself, have many options.
Make sure you know your photographers options and choose the best one for you.
THREE:
Prepare your finances.
This one is a big one. Boudoir Photography is an extremely specialized art form that takes years and years of perfecting and gaining experience.
Every photographer will have different price points, but PLEASE do not search for the "cheap" one.
You don't want to gamble with an inexperienced photographer that doesn't know what they are doing. Keep in mind they hold your view of yourself in the palm of their hand. They could destroy your confidence just as much as an experienced photographer can amplify it.
Make sure you have enough saved up for the retainer fee which can range, depending on the photographer anywhere between $300-$2,500.
Some photographers, such as myself, offer payment plans so make sure you research that as well!

STRETCH
Stretching is VERY important to get you limber for your shoot. You will not want to skip this step! The more you can bend/ arch the better you can do the poses and the better it will look! I have a Youtube Video on stretching
HERE.
PROTECT
REST & HYDRATE
COME CLEAN
GROOM
ARRIVAL
I know that being tan for some babes is a must, but PLEASE stay away from the tanning bed, fake tanner, and spray tanning. If you can limit your expose to the sun about a month leading up to your session, that's great! We don't want you to be sunburned or orange in your photos!
Make sure you drink plenty of water at least a week prior to your session. Water will flush out any toxins from your body, making your skin look healthier. No alcohol consumption the night prior to your session and the day of your session. Make sure to get plenty of sleep as well!
It is imperative that you come to your session with clean, dry hair. You do not want your hair greasy at all, and no, dry shampoo will NOT hide it in photographs! Also, make sure you wash your face well, and you may come with moisturizer on, but no makeup!
Make sure you shave in your normal places before your session!
If you wax, make sure you do it two days prior to your session, you don't want to risk looking red!
If you have never waxed before or are not a regular waxer, THIS IS NOT THE TIME TO START. You will be red in your photos!
Please make sure to leave early to account for traffic and possibly getting lost (it does happen). You want to shoot for arriving 10 minutes early! We wouldn't want you to be late and the time being reflected out of your session time!
Will my photos be online?
Do you provide liquid courage during the shoot?
Do you shoot "plus size" women?
Never will your photos see the sun without your written consent.
We do not require a model release to be signed.
If you do want to sign one, you get to choose where they are posted, how they are used, etc.
Short answer: NO.
Long answer: No, and I require that you do not drink any alcohol the day prior to your session as well. Why? Because you need to be fully present in the moment during this experience. It will change your life, and I don't want you to numb that feeling. I promise you it's an easier process than what you have built up in your head. TRUST ME.
Firstly, I HATE the term "plus size".
What you are really asking is if I shoot women, the answer is yes. All types, skinny, tall, curvy, shorter, brunettes, blondes, red heads, and everything in between.
Short answer, if you are a woman, I photograph you, so get your beautiful booty in here!
